What to see and do:

Visit us at AMFI Pyramiden

We are a shopping center with over 40 shops and dining areas. We are within walking distance to Fjellheisen and Ishavskatedralen.

At AMFI Pyramiden you will find both well-known chains and local stors. We have a good mix of stores in different categories such as: interior design stores, clothing stores, shoe store, pharmacy, health food, flower shop, optician, liquor store, bookstore, grocery store and cafés.

We have free parking if you drive a car. If you have an electric car, you will find 4 charging points down towards the E8.

Ishavskatedralen

Ishavskatedralen is a church. It has a characteristic shape that is supposed to give associations to icebergs. You can see it when you come down from the bridge from the city centre side in Tromsø towards Tromsdalen.

Fjellheisen

Take the trip to the top of Tromsø. Enjoy the view of the beautiful city and take time to slow down. In the evenings you can see the midnight sun from Fjellheisen.

Fjellheisen (Cable Car) is 421 meters above sea level and you can take the cabelcar up. This takes 4 minutes. There are different prices whether you are travelling with a group or just want to take the lift one way. The cable car is open daily from 10 am to 00 am.

You can also climb the Sherpa stairs to get to the Fjellheisen. If you want to go up, you have to dress according to the weather and conditions.

Once you have reached the top, there are several nice hiking opportunities. Just up the plateau where the Cable Car is located, there is a small lake and an old stone cabin Steinbøhytta on the mountain slope. If you have plenty of time, the trip up to Fløya can be nice. There is a path all the way up.

We recommend good hiking shoes and extra clothes if you are going to continue on the mountain when you reach Fjellheisen. Good sneakers or hiking shoes are an advantage.

Gutta på skauen

Are you fond of hiking? Then the trip to Gutta på Skauen is nice. In here there are several fire pits and a lavvu. Dette er en enkel tur som alle kan klare. Det er grusveien hele veien inn til lavvuen. Herifra kan du følge gruslagt løpe lengre inn i Dalen.

Tromsdalstiden

Tromsdalstinden is usually referred to simply as "Tinden" among Tromsø residents, is a mountain peak in Tromsø municipality in Troms. It is located in the extension of Tromsdalen, about 9 kilometers southeast of Tromsø city center as the crow flies.

With an altitude of 1238 meters above sea level, it is the highest peak visible from Tromsøya. Climbing the summit is possible both from Tromsdalen in the northwest and Ramfjord in the south. The most common routes are the "summer route" up from the east side of Tromsdalen and further along the ridge northwest of the summit, or the longer but slacker route from the southwest, which is most used in winter. Regardless of the season you choose to take this trip, it is important to have hiking boots, plenty of clothes and food with you.
